There are workshops and warehouses near the river along Whitehall Street, older factories off Somerville Road heading towards Brooklyn, and larger warehouses in West Footscray and Tottenham along Sunshine Road and Paramount Road. Older forklifts that keep working
Lots of Footscray businesses run forklifts that have been on site for years. They can keep going a long time with regular servicing, but age shows up in familiar places: leaking mast and tilt cylinders, stretched chains, tired brakes and LPG engines that start rough on cold mornings. What we do on site

- Electric forklifts. Battery and charger checks when run time drops off.
- Safety inspections. A documented check for your records or before an audit.
How breakdowns work
Call with the make, model and what the forklift is doing. We try to diagnose the fault over the phone first, and we always quote before we come out, so there are no surprises on the invoice. Same-day service is often available if you call early in the day.
Cold rooms and food sites
Forklifts going in and out of cold rooms deal with condensation and big temperature swings, which is hard on batteries, wiring and seals. We follow your site’s hygiene and induction rules, and we’ll point out wear before it turns into a breakdown.
